In Loving Memory of
Caleigh Sullivan

Caleigh loved rescue dogs. First came Bogie, her loyal sidekick for years. Then she met Kevin through Tragic to Magic, and of course, she fell head over heels for him, too.

Then came Chipmunk, and the whole “foster” idea lasted two seconds. The minute she saw him, she knew he was staying with her - an instant foster fail. Chipmunk tested several families before he found Caleigh. When jogging, it was an endurance test of whoever could last longer, and they both loved every minute of it. Chip had found his match.

Caleigh found her match in her husband, Tyler, and his rescue, Harvey, and then the pack was complete.

Caleigh loved the dogs and the people in her life passionately with all her heart, and those of us who knew her will never forget her.

Honor Caleigh’s memory by

continuing the impact she cared so deeply about.

Lawrence Paul Voller

Larry was a great friend from college. In recent years, he followed my work in dog rescue on Facebook and made several generous donations. Before he passed, he asked his fiancée to send one last donation and to tell me to “keep the magic happening.” He had a truly huge heart.

Honor Larry’s memory by continuing his impact.

Honor Michele’s memory by continuing her impact.

Michele Haber

Michele first discovered me at dog adoption events in 2018 and quickly became a regular Tragic to Magic volunteer. I admired her sharp sense of humor and her East Coast roots—she loved sharing stories about Boston while vowing never to return to the cold.

She stopped by an adoption event a few months ago. Despite her own challenges, she asked about me, listened to my boyfriend’s struggles, and shared updates about her life without any self-pity. She spoke about a recent trip to St. Lucia, laughing about wanting to kiss every dog she met. When she returned, I suggested she consider fostering an older dog for companionship.

Michele was a lovely, brave soul. I will never forget her and feel so fortunate to have known her. I like to believe she’s with the dogs on the other side of the rainbow bridge—or watching over those she loved as a guardian angel. Even until the end, she was thinking of others, encouraging support for Tragic to Magic, for which I am deeply grateful.

I will honor her by continuing to rescue the dogs she cared so deeply about.

In her memory, donations were made by: Deborah Young, Karen D. Smith, Laurel Katz, Kathei Logue, Lori Fisher, Charles Honsberger, Nanci Simkin, and two anonymous donors.

Honor someone you love.
